Nadine Goodwin's earliest memories are infused with the bright colors of crayons, a gift from her father at the tender age of two. From her beginnings on the pages of coloring books, Nadine later grew to love art through mail order lesson books which addressed basic concepts that she still embraces.

Nadine earned a BS degree in Art Education and a Master's degree in Administration. She began teaching art in 1983. Twenty five years later, in 2008, she retired and her new life in art began....

While teaching, Nadine used Sharpie pens for daily, routine functions. She liked how the pens felt, the colors and the permanence of the ink and found them useful for doodling. Those doodles evolved into a more serious artistic effort and an adventure in experimentation with Sharpie pens as an art medium.  Skilled in watercolors, acrylics, graphite pencils and oils, Nadine enjoys the planning process required when using the pens, especially the necessity of creating "white spaces" as there is no white Sharpie pen!
